Would you like have something on hand to help when you start to feel a sense of panic? You already do! It’s your breath. There are a number of conscious breathing techniques that can help manage symptoms of panic and I’ll be sharing one of them with you in this video.

You’ll be inhaling long and slow through your nose and then suspending the breath as long as possible without straining. When you are ready to exhale, you’ll make an “O” with your mouth and exhale powerfully through it, taking care not to puff out your cheeks. The exhale will come from your navel and psoas.

We’ll be practicing this breath for three minutes in the video, but you can expand your practice up to 11 minutes.

I’d love to hear about your experience in the comments. And if you enjoy it, I would be grateful if you pass along this video and/or let other know about my YouTube channel.
