Over the past four weeks, I’ve shared four of my favorite meditations for stress—either to prevent it or to help alleviate it. I’ve got one more to share with you. Called Meditation for a Calm Heart, this was one of the first meditations I started practicing on a regular basis and it remains one of my favorites.

As the name suggests, it is very calming. It can help relieve anxiety and promotes clear thinking—particularly when it comes to relations with yourself and others.

Sitting tall with your chin parallel to the ground. Placing your left hand on the center of your chest at the Heart Center. The palm is flat against the chest, and the fingers are parallel to the ground, pointing to the right. Raising your right hand with the palm forward, as if you are giving a pledge and joining the tips of your thumb and index finger. The rest of your fingers extend toward the sky.

Closing your eyes. Inhaling slowly and deeply through the nose. Gently holding it as long as you can. When you need to, exhale completely through your nose. Hold the breath out as long as you can and then continue.

Please let me and others know about your experience in the comments. As always, am grateful if you pass along this video and/or let other know about my channel.
