There are so many benefits to meditation, but it can seem overwhelming or unattainable… it doesn’t have to be.
In this three-video series, I’ll be introducing you to some of the basics, so you can start your own practice. Today, we will be introducing a simple affirmation that you’ll repeat silently to yourself.
So, grab a comfortable seat—either on the floor or in a chair—and join me!

Please join me for a meditation which is said to redeem all negativity of the past and the present. It is also referred to as a meditation to make the impossible possible. I find it to be very relaxing because of the mantra paired with simple finger movements.
Find a comfortable seat—either in a chair or on the floor. Sitting with a straight spine and just barely opening your eyes. The backs of the hands are resting on your knees with the palms facing upward.
In a natural relaxed manner, you’ll make the following sounds, and as you do, touching your fingers to your thumbs as described below:
SA – press the pads of your thumb and index fingers together.
TA – your thumb and middle finger touch.
NA – your thumb and ring finger touch.
MA – your thumb and little finger touch.
RA – your thumb and index finger touch.
MA – your thumb and middle finger touch.
DA – your thumb and ring finger touch.
SA – your thumb and little finger touch.
SA – your thumb and index inger touch.
SAY – your thumb and middle finger touch.
SO – your thumb and ring finger touch.
HUNG – your thumb and little finger touch.

Join me for a very lovely meditation that will help calm your emotions, heal your broken heart and renew your capacity to love yourself and others.
This is a silent meditation, so if you prefer, you are welcome to play some soothing music in the background. A nice accompaniment to this meditation is the Guru Ram Das mantra for healing. One of my favorite versions is by Singh Kaur. You can listen to it on Spotify at https://tinyurl.com/79kuxz5x. You can read more about the mantra and find other versions at https://blog.spiritvoyage.com/mantra-for-a-broken-heart-guru-ram-das/.ram-das/.
Sitting with a straight spine—either on the floor or in a chair—bringing your palms together so they are lightly touching (prayer pose.) The tip of the middle finger is at the level of the Third Eye Point—the point between your brows. The forearms are horizontal to the ground, elbows high. Look within and breathe normally.
We’ll be practicing for just three minutes in this video, but you can practice on your own for 11, 31, or 62 minutes.

Today is National Relaxation Day and I’ve got a perfect three-minute meditation for you that will help lower your stress and help you feel more grounded and centered. It can also help to process and release your past and eliminate insecurities.
If you are new to meditation or have found it challenging in the past, give this one a try! You’ll be repeating a very simple mantra while moving your fingers in a specific way. It keeps your mind engaged and makes the time go very quickly.
You can do this sitting in a chair or on the floor—either way, with a straight spine. Crossing your forearms below the wrist and placing them in front of your chest. It does not matter which arm is on top, however your arms should be out and slightly angled up toward the chest. Focusing your eyes at the tip of your nose.
You’ll be making the sounds Sa Ta Na Ma out loud, pressing the corresponding fingers to your thumb with each sound.
Sa – Press thumb and index finger (brings knowledge)
Ta – Press thumb and middle finger (brings wisdom and patience)
Na – Press thumb and ring finger (brings vitality)
Ma – Press thumb and pinkie finger (brings enhanced communication)
You can expand your practice by doing this for 11 minutes and up to 31 minutes.
