The meditation I share in this video has a great history and is said to have been practiced by significant spiritual leaders such as Buddha and Christ. It uses a hand mudra that has become a symbol for blessing and prosperity

In it, you’ll be silently repeating the mantra SA TA NA MA. Sa is Infinity. TA is Life. NA is Death. MA is Rebirth/transformation. It describes the cycle of life.

We will be practicing for three minutes in this video, but you can do it on your own for 11 up to 62 minutes. This meditation is great for beginners and can be done sitting on the floor or in a chair.

Your Moment of Calm with Ravi Pritam: Balance mental energy and let go of doubts

In today’s Moment of Calm, I will be guiding you some simple breathwork to balance your mental energy, which allows the mind to rid itself of doubts.

For three minutes, we will be inhaling for five seconds, suspending the breath for 10 seconds and exhaling for five seconds. With practice, you can gradually work your way up to inhaling for 10 seconds, holding for 15 seconds and exhaling for 10 seconds and practice for up to 10-15 minutes.

This is ideal for beginners and experienced yogis alike and can be done sitting in a chair or on the floor.

In the midst of all thoughts, emotions, and commotion, this meditation will help keep you steady and on the path. You’ll become alert to any positive or negative impact that can sway you from your purpose and able find the silver lining in any cloud.

We will be using the following mantra, which will be repeated out loud three times on each breath:

Ha-ree naam sat naam ha-ree naam ha-ree
Ha-ree naam sat naam sat naam ha-ree

Note: The “r” in Ha-ree is pronounced like a “d.”
