Your Moment of Calm with Ravi Pritam: Rejuvenation Meditation

With its beautiful hand mudra and special breath pattern, this meditation focuses on the glandular system, the guardians of your health. Although it’s called Rejuvenation Meditation, it can make you a little sleepy, so it may be better to practice before bed, rather than in the middle of your work day.

This meditation is great for beginners and those experienced with meditation, and it can be done sitting on the floor or in a chair.

Your Moment of Calm with Ravi Pritam: Inner balance and insight

I love meditations like the one I’m sharing in this video because it has a breath pattern that requires a little extra focus, so I am able to tune out other things.

If you find yourself in a situation where you aren’t sure what to do, do this meditation. It coordinates both areas of the brain and gives you powerful insight.

Your Moment of Calm with Ravi Pritam: Meditation for deep, relaxing sleep

I invite you to join me for a meditation that can be practiced any time of day but is particularly useful to do each night before bed. If practiced regularly, you’ll enjoy a more restful night’s sleep and your performance during the day will improve.

This meditation uses two simple mantras, both of which are repeated mentally (not out loud): SA TA NA MA and Wahe Guru (pronounced Wah, Hey, Guru) and can be done sitting on the floor or in a chair.

We will practice for three minutes in this video. On your own, you can do from 15 to 62 minutes.

Your Moment of Calm with Ravi Pritam: Believe what you do makes a difference

If you find your mind wanders while meditating, I invite you to join me for this short practice. Because it requires a lot of concentration, you may find yourself focusing more on your breath, sound and finger movement and less on your to-do list.

The purpose of this meditation is to increase self-efficacy—the belief that what you do makes a difference. And it has been scientifically proven to do just that. When it comes to changing a habit, we all want to feel that our actions are actually going to result in something—whether we are embarking on a new fitness routine or trying to get more sleep. By strengthening this belief, you are much more likely to stick with that new behavior.

In this video, I spend a little extra time at the beginning with instructions. If you are familiar with Pauri Kriya and want to jump right into the three-minute meditation, consider joining me starting around 4:20.
